April Heather was born and raised in Nebraska. She is the 5th out of 6
children. Not long after high school graduation, she moved to New York
City to study theater. There, she graduated from a professional acting
conservatory, the American Musical & Dramatic Academy (AMDA), in 1998.
Her travels took her to a few other states after that, including a
productive four years in Seattle where her focus turned from theater to
film. Naturally, her next stop would be Los Angeles. When she began to
crave more creative control in the bigger picture she enrolled back in
school focused this time on directing. She graduated Summa Cum Laude
from Los Angeles City College (LACC) with a degree in Cinema Production
in 2012.
