Fred Parker Jr. is known for his role as country music singer, Faron Young in the Hank Williams Biopic, I Saw The Light, starring Tom Hiddleston. He acted in Dirt Road to Lafayette, directed by BAFTA award winner Kenneth Glenaan. He has also played on the stage as a cub reporter in Gore Vidal's Broadway revival of the political play, The Best Man, (Tony Nominated Best Revival) acting opposite James Earl Jones and Angela Lansbury.
Fred grew up in San Antonio, Texas where he began acting in the Northside Independent School District. He studied acting at the University of Texas at Austin. He has trained and studied with the Upright Citizens Brigade, Warner Loughlin Studios, and with Cameron Watson.
He is an active volunteer though various organizations some of which include Tree People, Hollywood Food Coalition, SAG foundation's Bookpals, and Koreh LA, as reading mentor to support children's literacy.
