The second season of the TV anime adaptation of Ryosuke Fuji’s Shangri-La Frontier manga pre-downloaded a brand new key visual today alongside two new cast members in time for the game-based anime to launch on October 13 for a full two anime season run. Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 Key Visual Joining the cast of Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 are: Akitsuakane voiced by Yuka Terasaki (Natalia Luxembourg in Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture ) Ceecrue voiced by Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ) Related: Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 Anime Premieres on October 13 Shangri-La Frontier is directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka ( Handyman Saitou in Another World ) at studio C2C, with series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu ( That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ), character designs by Ayumi Kurashima ( Devilman Crybaby ) and music by Monaca ( NieR:Automata Ver1.1a ). Tokyo Ghoul creator Sui Ishida has sparked excitement among fans with his recent remarks regarding the possibility of an anime adaptation for his latest manga, Choujin X.

In a recent interview, Ishida was asked about his thoughts on the prospect of Choujin X being adapted into an anime. He responded with “I’d love to see it…“

While Ishida’s statement doesn’t confirm an official anime adaptation is in the works, it certainly suggests his openness and potential desire for the project.

Fans however, aren’t that keen on the idea of Choujin X getting an anime adaptation particularly due to their dissatisfaction with Studio Pierrot’s handling of the Tokyo Ghoul anime adaptation. They believe that for Choujin X to receive a faithful and high-quality adaptation, it would require an exceptional team and studio at the helm, given their past experiences.

The official website of AnimeJapan 2024 revealed the line-ups for its main stages, Red, Blue and Green, on Jan 19, 2024.

AnimeJapan 2024 will take place at Tokyo Big Sight on March 23-24, 2024.
