Born on the wrong side of the tracks, Alika was raised in the suburbs
of California, being of the only Asian American kids on the block,
raised by a single mother. Alika was used to being singled out, at 16
he was spotted by a Japanese photographer and encouraged to embark
on a modeling career that took him around the world.
At the peak of his model career, at only 27 he was involved in a serious Motorcycle accident leaving him bed ridden for months, with multiple internal and external injuries, he began serious contemplation of his life, embarking on a spiritual journey that determined his fate for the next 10 years. He trekked throughout south East Asia eventually settling in Thailand where he found himself studying Buddhism as a monk in the slums of Thailand.
Alika emerged a more determined person with new purpose, getting involved with community issues and focusing on new career paths. Well known in Asia as a fashion Icon Alika has moved further from Fashion and closer to his artistic talents.
After a few stage gigs and a handful of made-for-TV movies, he scored a supporting role in Tinge Krishna's Honey and Razorblades (2007), which was filmed in Tsunami torn Phi Phi Islands of Thailand. Though he has not yet exercised much of his talent, Alika continues to work in supporting roles while pursuing his interest in comedy.
