He moved with his mother to the U.S. at age three, and spent most of his youth in Oahu, Hawaii and San Diego, California. He demonstrated drawing and theatrical talents at a young age, and started doing school plays in grade school. He enrolled in drama class in 9th grade and acted throughout high school, also studying video production. He attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts as a Film & TV undergraduate for two years. In 1997, he joined two former dorm-mates as part of the flagship staff of Kozmo.com, as chronicled in Wonsuk Chin's documentary feature E-Dreams (2001). Following Kozmo's 2001 demise he lived in Copenhagen, and then returned to Oahu, where his professional acting career began in Anita Allison's short film Agent Orange (2005). Since 2011, he has been acting professionally in theater, television, and independent film in New York City. He was signed for commercial management by Jillian Hassett at Prestige Management Group in 2015.
