On Friday, WWE announced the release of former Divas Champion Kelly Kelly. There have been reports that Kelly had been rather disinterested with touring with the WWE, wanting to spend more time with her ice hockey boyfriend, and had been modelling under her real name, Barbie Blank. Kelly spent the last 6 years in the employment of the WWE, having started as a exhibitionist in the revamp Ecw. Much of her in-ring career was spent as a bit part player in a then much stronger women’s division. Despite this, she would become one of the more popular divas in during this time and would eventually become the face of the Diva division by 2011.
Kelly was by no means a brilliant in-ring worker, but Kelly had been the one of the few remaining ‘over’ divas in the WWE, and her release makes her the 5th female to be release from the...

Longtime Tna Impact Wrestling Knockout Angelina Love – real name Lauren Williams – has announced via her twitter account (@ActualALove) that she has parted ways with the company.
In her official statement on the social networking site Love said the following:
“To all my wonderful fans, just want to let you know I have been granted my release from Tna,
It was completely amicable parting of ways and I want to thank Tna and all of its employees for the
wonderful journey I’ve had there over the years. Now I’m on to the next amazing chapter of my life!”
Love had once been a major part of the highly successful, very exciting women’s division in Tna, but when the Knockouts began to become a watered down version of the WWE Diva’s it was apparent her push had come to an end. Saddled with a dreadful ‘zombie’ gimmick as...

Tna Impact Wrestling! 26th January 2011
As always, last week gets recapped. But you read that last week right? Right!?
We pick up backstage where Jeff Hardy is beating down Bully Ray in that are that they always seem to be taking photos. They brawl past that with some terribly unrealistic punches and out to another backstage area. Just in time, Roode pulls up in his beautiful white truck and jumps Hardy with Bully. Bully drops a piece of wood on Jeff’s leg that looks like it weighs less than a sponge. They throw him in the back of the truck, but then James Storm comes out of nowhere and gets involved. He throws Storm through a barricade then smacks Bully with a Plastic bottle. I should note there’s a lot of needless grunting going on. Then, Sting comes into the picture and takes a bat to Roode’s stomach.

Tna Impact Wrestling! 22nd January 2012
Last week, Bully Ray helped Bobby Roode retain again against Jeffrey Hardy. And this week, out first is James Storm with his Mickie James like entrance music/video. He’s number one contender now. He tells Kurt hes the greatest wrestler but he was better then threatens to whoop Roode’s ass. “Sorry about your damn…” He’s cut off by Jeff Hardy’s music and the Rainbow Emo himself comes to the ring. “I got screwed at the PPV, I got screwed last week.” He tells Storm nobody gets a shot until he gets his final encounter. Storm says a few months ago He got screwed. “You’d think with all this screwing he’d have a lot of child support to pay.” Before we can digest that thought, Roode comes out with a mic. He’s flattered at the attention but reminds Storm...

Impact Wrestling. 24th November
Last week, James Storm blamed everyone for jumping him, including Aj Styles. But in the end it was Kurt Angle returning and taking the credit for the attack. Felt the need to explain that since I didn’t do the results last week.
In the arena, Kurt Angle is on his way to the ring. Kurt says he didn’t attack Storm from behind, Storm just didn’t see him coming. He has cat like reflexes you see. Not surprisingly, Storm comes out to respond. Storm talks about how this has gone beyond personal, its now business. What… isn’t it normally bad when it’s the other way around? Kurt claims Storm screwed him out of his title. Storm wants to fight instead, and so takes a swig of beer. Angle says he doesn’t want to fight but he knows a few who do,...

Impact Wrestling
October 20th 2011
Hot off the heels of disappointing/predictable/weird Bound For Glory, we are back in Florida for Impact Wrestling this week. First we get a video to remind us that Hogan turned face and joined Sting, then in the arena Sting himself is on the way to the ring. Sting is happy that he got the company back to Dixie, and that he got the real Hulk Hogan back. The explanation for turning face should be a good one, right? Sting brings out Hogan and he’s all smiles and in classic red and yellow. Hogan says for the last year he’s been wrong. That was a very sudden realisation. Hogan explains that he had a few bad years, lost a bit of confidence and became a follower of Bischoff rather than a leader. There’s only one person to thank he says. And its Sting.

It’s the go home show before Bound For Glory which means its their last time to sell the show! And in an interview this week Hulk Hogan completely buried Robert Roode as a credible main eventer by saying he doesn’t think hes the guy, and that Angle should “Carry” him to a good match nonetheless. Way to bury your own main event Hulk.
Speaking of the main event, Kurt Angle, the defending champion is first out tonight and calls out his challenger Robert Roode right away. “Next World Champ” chant. Kurt says he booked the matches the past few weeks to try and break him down. Angle congratulates him for winning them, but reminds him he’s the greatest wrestler ever and he’ll prove it at Bfg. Then he extends a hand. Roode decides not to shake though and takes a mic. Roode...

As expected, No Surrender kicked off with the entire roster taking part in a 9/11 tribute. Tna Knockout Rosita, whose father died in the attacks, was shown. Jesse Neal was shown in full sailor attire. We get a rendition of America the Beautiful and a big USA chant. Now finally its time for the show to begin proper. Mike Tenay and Tazz are the announcers and first it’s…
#1 Contenders Match for the X Division Title
Jesse Sorensen vs. Kid Kash
Anyone else think it’s about time he dropped the Kid in his name? I know Man Kash doesn’t have the same ring to it, but he’s definitely not a kid anymore. In saying that as long as he never brings back the Pit-bull gimmick, I’m happy. Match starts off with an exchange of quick pin falls and reversals that the fans are well behind from the bell.

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
It has been a particularly wrestling-centric day here on the MTV Newsroom Blog, hasn't it? But there must be something in the air, as while the Situation tries to extend his dancing career on "Dancing With the Stars," fellow "Jersey Shore" star Jenni "JWoww" Farley has found herself involved in a different kind of competition. She made her way to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida on Monday (October 11) for the first in a series of appearances in the Total Nonstop Action wrestling promotion. She will be featured on the show's weekly "Impact" show (which airs every Thursday on SpikeTV) and will be involved...
