Sam Icklow is an Australian writer and director, known for While the Men Are Away (2023), Apricot (2019) and Palace (2017). Sam received an MFA in Directing from the University of California, Los Angeles. Sam's work has screened internationally at Slamdance, Outfest, Frameline, and the German Historical Museum in Berlin, among other venues. Sam is a recipient of the Motion Picture Association of America award and a BAFTA LA Scholar.
