Kate was homeschooled until she began college at age 14. She never attended public school.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude, at age 18, with a degree in Government with an Emphasis in Legal Studies and a Minor in Communications from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.

At age 6 comic Adam Hunter brought Kate on stage at The Laugh Factory on Hollywood's Sunset Blvd. She told an "Elvis Parsley" joke.

Martin Glover who is Danny Glover's younger brother, directedRising Sun (2012). Martin has known Katie's family for over 20 years.

Caught Simon Cowell's eye in Season 4 with a cool hat he liked, after she won an "American Idol" tee shirt for singing a Simple Plan song on KIIS FM. Simon signed the tee for her.

She has played 4 years of inner city, co-ed basketball (1 of 2 girls)with an undefeated season, fierce defense and 2009 championship win.

Started reading at age three.

She was a member of the Jin Wu Demo Team. The martial arts group performed at the 83rd Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade, which happened to be super rainy.

Before Philanthropist, Eli Broad founded The Broad Museum in DTLA, Katie was hired to work on his birthday "circus themed" music video directed by Mike Binder in Riverside, CA.

Grew up in Highland Park, CA which is in Northeast Los Angeles (NELA) area until she was 14.

She required 80 tiny rollers to style her long hair for each performance for her stage role as "Bebe." when she was 7 years old.

She graduated high school at age 14.

At age 14 1/2, she started college at Pasadena City College but due to a move graduated With Honors with degree in Fine Arts from El Camino College in Torrance, CA.

Her childhood florist, Lucy, in Highland Park, CA created her lovely high school, college and university orchid leis.

The Peabody-nominated 'Suspense" series has written characters specifically for Kate that range from mentally ill teen to a young wife character that have strengthen her range, which have earned her several Voice-Over Award nominations, and one win.

In 2009, when actress Chrissy Metz was a Studio City talent agent with Premier Talent Group, she represented a very young Kate Scott.

She used co-ed inner city basketball skills, as the youngest cast member of The Captain directed by Octavia Spencer and narrated by Allison Janney. Spencer has inspired Kate to produce and direct too.

Kate's directorial debut was a documentary in 2014 A.C. Green Leadership Basketball Camp Documentary (2014), about 3 time NBA Champ A.C. Green leadership basketball camp as it celebrated it's 25th anniversary.

By age 7, Kate loved comedy so much that she performed solid comedy sets at The Laugh Factory on Hollywood's Sunset Blvd until she was 14.

In 2011, she began training in 3 months straight for filming Rising Sun (2012). She continued her training in LA's Chinatown with XJ Wang and Shane Yan.

In 2017, Kate won Best Young Filmmaker at the Austin Student Film Festival for directing both '1' doc and #Disneyland60.

She won Best Documentary for #Disneyland60 (2015) at the Austin Student Film Festival and had the best time meeting new people in Texas.
