Biography

Anissa has spent a lifetime working in all facets of entertainment doing representation, writing, content development, production, post-production, and current series programming. She began in high school as a radio talent and production manager, along with directing live TV shows daily. Anissa later moved into Film/TV Production, Music Production, and animation. Anissa has also worked to create and develop Web Content, Podcasts, Online Games, and Comics for original and licensed Intellectual Property development.

At Cartoon Network, Anissa worked in Development and Current Programming for original shows & shorts for series like Andre 3000, Scooby-Doo, various Hanna Barbera characters, The Goonies Animated Series with Richard Donner, and The Lost Boys Animated with Lauren Schuler Donner. Anissa developed and worked in current programming for licensed animated television series and films for various DC Comics/Vertigo Comics characters and titles including The Batman, developing Legion of Superheroes with Allen Heinberg, Teen Titans, Justice League Unlimited, and many more.

Anissa has worked closely with new talent, high-profile talent, and high-profile properties such as The Jim Henson Company's The Dark Crystal, Bone by Jeff Smith and Strangers In Paradise by Terry Moore. Anissa also has experience working with Nickelodeon, Disney, several independent comic publishers, up-and-coming animation / comic talent, and established cartoon and comic book creators and talent.

Anissa is currently a Literary Agent representing traditional, diverse and marginalized creators, authors, and illustrators for the graphic novel format and prose format that is appealing to all ages and most genres of publishing.
