"We'll never forgive them again." Samuel Goldwyn Films has debuted an official trailer for the true story World War II survival thriller Sobibor, about the revolt and escape at the concentration camp known as Sobibór in Poland. The story goes that, after only three weeks imprisoned at this Nazi death camp in Poland in 1943, Soviet Officer Alexander Pechersky organized a mass revolt and prison break, successfully escaping and helping many of the other prisoners escape as well. Many of the escapees were later caught and died - but the rest, led by Pechersky, eventually joined the resistance. The film stars Konstantin Khabenskiy as Pechersky, who is also making his directorial debut on this film, with a full cast including Christopher Lambert, Mariya Kozhevnikova, Michalina Olszanska, Philippe Reinhardt, Maximilian Dirr, Mindaugas Papinigis, and Wolfgang Cerny. This seems to be yet another intense WWII concentration camp film, but with some hope considering...

Russian culture secretary calls collaboration “frozen” as industries strive to continue cross-border production.
The ongoing political tension between Russia and Ukraine was not forgotten during this week’s Moscow International Film Festival (Miff), which ends tomorrow (Friday).
At a meeting with representatives of two new Russian films Battle for Sevastopol and The Territory, Russian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky described collaboration between the Russian and Ukrainian film industries as currently being ¨frozen¨.
Signs of the instability were evident in the nationalities of some titles at the festival, including Sergey Mokritskiy’s Russian box office success Battle for Sevastopol [$8m (Rub 435m) since April 2], which had initially been made as a Russian-Ukrainian co-production.
The International Competition included world premieres of Alexander Mindadze’s Russian-uk-German co-production My Good Hans, which was largely shot on location in Ukraine’s Nikopol and had originally had a Ukrainian co-producer on board.
Other films to have shot in Ukraine and screen at the festival included Andrey Proshkin’s Orleans...

Witness the story of six brothers in arms. Damn. Russia has gone seriously epic with this movie, and I can't wait to see it. While this has been set for international release soon, we haven't posted a trailer for it before. Sony has unveiled a full trailer for Stalingrad, directed by Fedor Bondarchuk, starring Thomas Kretschmann, Yanina Studilina and Philippe Reinhardt, telling the story of the 1942 WWII Battle of Stalingrad. "While the whole might of the German army descended upon them, the heroes of Stalingrad would experience love, loss, joy and the sense of ultimate freedom that can only be felt by those about to die." They went all out and built a massive set, shooting this in 3D and IMAX at the same time. Take a look. Here's the full trailer for Fedor Bondarchuk's Stalingrad, found right on YouTube (via TheMovieBox): Bondarchuk's Stalingrad is set during one...
