Sheila Vand was born in Los Angeles, grew up in Palo Alto, and is a second generation Iranian-American of Persian descent.

Her role as Hadia in the Broadway play Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, was played alongside Robin Williams' performance as Tiger.

My boyfriend works in music. He manages a bunch of bands, so I almost know more about the music world than I do about my own industry. [Laughs]
