Born in Paris, Stany Coppet is an international actor with a versatile look and heritage that allows him to seamlessly transform into French, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, Latino, and other roles. Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, with a foundational knowledge of Arabic, he brings a global perspective to his craft.
Coppet trained for two years at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and spent four years honing his skills in the United States before returning to Europe to establish himself in French cinema and television.
He gained widespread recognition in Spain and Latin America for his chilling portrayal of terrorist Khaled Ashour in the hit series El Príncipe (Mediaset). He followed this with another standout role as Bruno Silva, a ruthless Brazilian gold miner, in Canal+'s Guyane (Ouro). Later, Coppet co-starred alongside Paz Vega in the acclaimed Mediaset series Perdóname Señor.
In film, Coppet produced, co-wrote and starred in the French independent movie La Vie Pure, a physically demanding project shot over four weeks in the Amazon rainforest, for which he lost 33 lbs. His recent credits include Netflix's Vikings: Valhalla (Season 2), where he portrayed Khan, and the feature film Deep Fear as the villain José-a role that saw him earning his level 2 scuba diving license.
In French television, Coppet has taken on key roles in primetime series such as Tropiques Criminels (Deadly Tropics), playing Gendarmerie Commander Cyril Aubrun, and Demain Nous Appartient (Tomorrow Is Ours), where he regularly stars as lead character Surgeon Aaron Leclerc.
On stage, Coppet performed in several Off-Broadway plays and starred in From Slavery to Freedom, a production directed by Kasi Lemmons that explored colonialism. Most recently, he headlined the Spanish dark comedy La Herencia, touring for two years across Spain to critical acclaim.
