Damiano Cinque grew up in Caracas Venezuela. Damiano got his bachelor
degree in Social Communication from the "Universidad Central de
Venezuela" and a master in fine art in film production from Ohio
University. His first short movie "Pronostico Reservado" which he wrote
and directed was screened in the "22 International Festival of New
Latinoamerican Cinema" in 2000. After he got his bachelor degree in
Venezuela he worked several years in different types of video
production as a producer, creative consultant and camera operator.
Then, he went to United States to pursue an MFA in cinema in the School
of Film of Ohio University. Under the MFA program he wrote, produced,
directed and edited several short narratives and a documentary. He went
back to Venezuela to shoot the documentary "Long Way Home" (2009). This
documentary has been selected in several film festivals in the U.S.
such as the Athens International Film and Video Festival (2008), The
East Los Angeles International and Youth Film Festival (2009), Columbus
International Film and Video Festival (2009), etc. "Never Too Late"
(2009), a short narrative film written, produced, directed and edited
by Damiano, have also been selected and screened in several film
festivals in the U.S. Most recently he adapted a short story by Horacio
Quiroga called "La Gallina Degollada" to produce, direct and edit the
short film "The Decapitated Chicken"(2011).
