-- Armed with a stack of coupons, Amanda Ostrowski paid just $51.67 for $1,175.33 worth of groceries on TLC's reality show "Extreme Couponing."
I remember watching that episode and wondering if I could do that. Ostrowski admits that that kind of savings is hard to copy for the average person. "Searching for all the deals is time-consuming," she said.
It took Ostrowski nearly two days of planning and six hours in the store, according to the episode. She walked out with nine shopping carts, including 218 boxes of pasta. I don't have that kind of time. And I will never eat that much ziti.
But I wanted to see if I could at least cut my grocery bills. So I called up Ostrowski and a few other coupon experts to pick their brains. I planned to test out their tips at my local Target store.
When I told Ostrowski I didn't want to...

Adam Ahlbrandt (Sight) is the creator behind the indie horror flick The Burnt House. The first trailer shows characters in dark lighting, with ominous flashes of crazed creatures. The clip is nightmarish and foreboding, but what about the quality of the picture? The online horror magazine Fear.net describes The Burnt House as being "a poetic nightmare." A strong statement from a strong horror supporter. A release date is set for July 6th and from the synopsis there seems to be a lot of conflicting sub-plots to keep the picture entertaining. Have a look at the trailer below and decide if The Burnt House is worth a viewing.
A synopsis for The Burnt House here:
"This is the story of Megan and Joe, a couple who have recently experienced the death of their infant son to Sids. The tragedy has spawned a rift between the two and driven Megan into a secret affair.
