Growing up, Angela was athletic, and involved in gymnastics, and swimming, and later became a competitive marathon runner and triathlete.
After high school, Angela moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where she took a job as a professional nanny and raised children while she pursued higher education and started a residential cleaning service.
Her cleaning business quickly grew across the Carolinas and she branched out as a consultant and trainer, training cleaning business owners worldwide on running a cleaning business and balanced living. Before podcasting was a thing, Angela wrote, directed, and produced a radio show called "Words of Wellness."
It was the study of emotions that led her to acting and landed her a few small roles in independent films. She joined the Screen Actors Guild in the spring of 2007 which already had an Angela Brown, so she joined as Angela Oberer which is her married name.
In 2016, Angela moved her training for cleaning business owners on YouTube with the wildly successful show podcast "Ask a House Cleaner."
