Jonathan Yudis was born and raised in Philadelphia where he developed
his creative interests in acting, writing, and directing. He graduated
with high honors on the Dean's list from New York University - Tisch
School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and Television Production.
His NYU films played in festivals internationally and won various awards including: "Perpetual Descent" selected for Holocaust Remembrance Day, "Eclipse" (Producer) which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival and won the Student Academy Award - Gold Prize. His film "Union" (Director/Writer/Producer) was an official selection at the Krakow International Film Festival and won 'Best Director' at the New York First Run Film Festival.
Jonathan was the commencement speaker and received his MFA from the Directing Discipline at the American Film Institute. His AFI thesis film "Spirit Rising" was a finalist at the Angelus Awards, won `Best Short Film' at the Firstglance and Atlantic City Film Festivals, and received distribution through Hypnotic Films. After his graduation from AFI, Jonathan was named a semi-finalist in the Chesterfield Writing Competition and completed "Hands", a feature documentary about the celebration of life at the Burning Man Festival.
His Television credits as a writer, producer, and director include shows for: Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Court TV, and Spike TV's "Ralph's Playhouse" for Ren & Stimpy's Adult Party Cartoon, and "The Spike 52 Special".
Jonathan's feature film credits as a director include the outrageous cult comedy "Pervert!" and the live action rotoscoping for Walt Disney's "Pocahontas II: Journey To A New World".
Jonathan is currently the creative director of Infinite Entertainment, a full-scale film and television production company based in Los Angeles.
Along with film making, Jonathan loves the outdoors and has backpacked extensively throughout the United States, India, Nepal, Tibet, and Peru. He has practiced Yoga since 1993 and is a certified Yogi Siromani that teaches Kundalini Yoga and the workshop "The Yoga of Film Making" at seminars and festivals throughout the United States.
