Pounds initially announced the release of “Do No Wrong” on Oct. 26, scheduled for Nov. 1, which would have been less than three weeks after Payne died when he jumped from a hotel balcony in Argentina. The producer returned to social media on Tuesday to say he had decided to hold off on the release “and leave those liberties up to all family members.”

“I want all proceeds go [sic] to a charity of [the family’s] choosing (or however they desire),” he continued. “Even though we all love the song it’s not the time yet. We are all still mourning the passing of Liam and I want the family to morn [sic] in peace and in prayer. We will all wait.”

Producer Sam Pounds has postponed the release of what would have been Liam Payne‘s first posthumous single.

On Tuesday (October 29), the producer took to social media to announce plans to drop a song called “Do No Harm,” which featured Liam‘s vocals. It was scheduled to arrive on Friday, just a few weeks after the One Direction singer tragically passed away at the age of 31.

In a statement shared on social media, Sam explained the decision and opened up about when fans might be able to hear the song.
