Shoreline Entertainment, the Los Angeles-based production and sales company, has picked up world sales rights to wine-country mystery-thriller, The Dark Place, from Blue Seraph Productions.

Jody Wheeler (Heat Wave, In the Closet) directed the story, with J.T. Tepnapa (Judas Kiss), from Wheeler’s own screenplay, with Carlos Pedraza producing.

The film focuses on Keegan Dark, a troubled young man cursed with the uncanny ability to remember his life in videographic detail. He returns to his family’s wine estate, boyfriend in tow, to make amends with his estranged mother, only to discover a conspiracy that frames him for murder and threatens his family’s lives and livelihood.

Blue Seraph Productions announced that Travis Richey (Pretty Little Liars) will join the cast of The Dark Place, the mystery-thriller written by Jody Wheeler and to be helmed by Judas Kiss director J.T. Tepnapa.

Richey is famous for his brief turn as Inspector Spacetime -a running gag on the critically underrated NBC comedy series Community- that inspired (after NBC and Sony sort of said, “Yeah, no”) him and writing partner Eric Loya to create Untitled Web Series About A Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time. That web series was a huge success (hailed by USA Today as one of the Best TV on the Web in 2012) and the people that made it are now preparing to begin production on Season Two.

Blue Seraph Productions announced the casting of Blaise Embry and Eduardo Rioseco for director J.T. Tepnapa’s follow up film to the indie hit Judas Kiss, the mystery-thriller, The Dark Place. Embry and Rioseco join already announced actors Sean Paul Lockhart and Timo Descamps (both in Judas Kiss) as well as Going Down in La La Land’s Allison Lane.

Embry will play Keegan Dark, a troubled young man who returns home to reconcile with his estranged mother, who has been running the family winery estate all by herself. But all does not go as planned and Keegan and his boyfriend (Timo Descamps) are soon caught up in a web of deceit and violence as his return unleashes a dark conspiracy that could see him as the prime suspect in a murder plot and the destruction of everything he holds dear.

I met Travis Richey last year at Bent-Con, but as a huge fan of the NBC series Community, and their Doctor Who parody called Inspector Spacetime, I was already a follower of his because by then I was following his Youtube page Sivartis.There I began watching his videos and so when December last year arrived, I was excited to meet him. Got his picture, and talked to him briefly.

I got a chance to meet him again several months later when he came to a reading for two scripts my friends were getting ready to produce as films in the coming months, Something Like Summer and The Dark Place, both to be helmed by Judas Kiss director J.T. Fresh off the successful debut of their acclaimed scifi-fantasy, “Judas Kiss,” Blue Seraph Productions announces its second follow-up feature, an original mystery-thriller called “The Dark Place.”

Based on an award-winning script by Jody Wheeler, “The Dark Place” tells the story of Keegan Dark, who returns to the the heart of California’s winery valleys to make peace with his long-estranged family. Instead, he finds a harrowing mystery that endangers his family’s lives and livelihood.

Wolfe Video has acquired the North American DVD and video-on-demand (VOD) rights for the time-bending campus drama, “Judas Kiss,” with release scheduled in Fall 2011.

The scifi-fantasy stars Richard Harmon of AMC’s new hit drama, “The Killing,” and Logo TV star Charlie David (“Dante’s Cove”), as well as adult film star Brent Corrigan (acting under his real name, Sean Paul Lockhart) and Belgian TV and pop star Timo Descamps.

San Jose, Calif.-based Wolfe Releasing is a premier distributor of Glbt films, and it will lead sales of “Judas Kiss” in the United States and Canada.

Judas Kiss has been selected to screen at Frameline, San Francisco’s 35th Annual International Lgbt Film Festival, one of the world’s premier festivals. The film will screen June 19 at 9 pm at the ornate and stately Victoria Theater in the city’s historic Mission District.

“I’m ecstatic! It’s great to be back at Frameline,” said Judas Kiss director J.T. Tepnapa. His first short film, Masturbation: Putting the Fun Into Self-Loving, screened there 2003.

It's no secret that I have been showing a lot of support for the independent film "Judas Kiss." With Judas Kiss shooting next week, I've been, again, swamped with work. The funny thing is I have less work to do than Jt or Carlos, but I still have a hell-of-a-lot to do. Brent Corrigan will star in the mainstream gay film "Judas Kiss", set to begin shooting in Seattle on August 13, 2010. Also starring is Charlie David of "Dante's Cove" and Richard Harmon of the Syfy Channel's hit show "Caprica." The film is scheduled to start the film festival circuit in January 2011.

"Judas Kiss" is about taking risks, seeking second chances, and finding the inspiration to succeed in an ever-evolving gay society. This is Brent's breakout role and he is already pouring himself into developing his character.

Three actors from the popular, long-running Web series Star Trek: Phase II and Star Trek: Hidden Frontier were cast in the the time-bending campus drama, Judas Kiss, the film’s producers announced today.

Julia Morizawa (Star Trek: Hidden Frontier, Star Trek: Odyssey) has been signed to play snarky college student Abbey Park, best friend of Danny Reyes (played by Caprica’s Richard Harmon). Canadian actor Richard Harmon has landed the lead role of Danny Reyes in Blue Seraph Productions’ “Judas Kiss.”

Seattle — Fresh from his pivotal three-episode guest-starring role in the Syfy network hit, “Caprica,” hot young actor Richard Harmon, has been cast in the time-bending campus drama, “Judas Kiss,” the film’s producers announced today.

The 18-year-old actor from Vancouver, B.C., has landed roles in a broad swath of hit television series and feature films, including “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief,” “Smallville,” “Fringe” and the Cartoon Network’s new live-action series, “Tower Prep.”

Los Angeles -- Rising European actor, television host and pop singer Timo Descamps has been cast in the time-bending campus drama, "Judas Kiss," the film's producers announced today.
