Biography

Nandini Sharma, an accomplished child actress, has made a fine comeback, acting in high profile films and series, including Heeramandi directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Netflix Original, 2024), Made In Heaven Season 2 directed by Neeraj Ghaywan (Amazon Prime, 2023), Ishq In the Air (2024, Amazon Mx Player) and Ardh (2022). She has diverse experience of acting in many films, television serials and theatre over the decades. She was also an empanelled theatre artist of All India Radio. She is fluent in Hindi, English, Assamese and Bengali.

Born in Assam to Jiten Sharma, senior actor-director-filmmaker, and Aroti Sharma, literary activist, Nandini was a child actress working in both theatre and film. She started acting in theatre at the age of 5 years. Her first film as a child artist "Kokadeuta Nati Aru Hati" (Grandfather, grandchild & the elephant, 1984) was a super hit. She won many awards for her performances on stage, and was awarded the best actor (female) by "Assam Natya Sanmilan" at the tender age of 13 years.

She chose to take a break from acting as she was busy with her corporate career, bringing up her kids and being an entrepreneur, in Mumbai; resumed her acting career in 2021, and now works among the finest.

Nandini has also produced many short, corporate films during her career as an advertising professional and entrepreneur. She has been a voice artist, and is known for her public speaking and discussion moderating skills. She is an MBA and an alumni of Goldman Sachs 20K women, IIM Bangalore.
