- Was a History Major at Brown University (class '01) and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (class '03)
- Summer originally met David E Kelley for a role on the short lived series "Life on Mars". She was tapped to join Kelley's other show Wedding Belles but when that was cancelled part Kelley created the role of Katie Lloyd for Tara and she joined Boston Legal the following season.
- Tara Summers wrote, produced and starred in Gypsy of Chelsea, an autobiographical one woman show. Gypsy of Chelsea was performed at The Hudson Theater, Los Angeles, The Royal Court Theatre, London and Studio 54 NY. It was directed by Julian Rhind-Tutt.
- Granddaughter of world champion bridge player, Fritzi Gordon. Gordon was the second woman to attain the the rank of World Grandmaster. She won four world titles, seven European championships and numerous other tournament victories.
- Tara Summers is a British actress and playwright. Summers wrote, produced and starred in a one-woman autobiographical show, Gypsy of Chelsea. She performed the play at the Royal Court Theatre (London) where she was a member of the young writers program, Studio 54 (NY) and the Hudson (Los Angeles). Summers recently performed at the Geffen Playhouse where she received rave reviews for her portrayal of Claire Sutton in Jonathan Lynn's acclaimed stage production, Yes, Prime Minister. An alumna of Brown University where she received a B.A. in History, Summers trained at the National Theatre Institute at the Eugene O'Neill in Connecticut and has an M.F.A. in Acting from L.A.M.D.A.
