Exclusive: Affion Crockett will produce and star in new comedy, A Hip Hop Story. The film also stars Cedric the Entertainer, Damaine Radcliff, Jevin Smith, Damien Dante Wayans, Lil Rel Howery, Wayne Brady, Lil Mama, and Norm Nixon, Jr.

Directed by Radcliff, and written by Crockett, the film is about Hip Hop culture is in a crisis! A pioneer of the culture joins forces with a few of rap music’s elite performers to attempt to save Hip Hop and provides social commentary on the state of Hip Hop culture.

A Hip Hop Story is produced Crockett, Radcliff, Charlie Mack, and Talitha Watkins, and will be distributed by AMCi distribution (same division responsible for the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and Renaissance: A Film By Beyonce.

Michael B. Jordan and Tiffany Haddish are among the stars lined up for the second season of the MTV game show “SafeWord.”

The show, hosted by Terrence J, pits a pair of close celebrity friends against one another in games and social media challenges designed to push them out of their comfort zones. At the end of the episode, whoever is deemed the loser is forced to answer three questions while hooked up to a lie detector.

To help prod each other, they’re joined by a lineup of comedians which includes Carly Aquilino, Damien Dante Wayans, Jessimae Peluso, Jordan Rock, Klarity and Leonard Ouzts.

A new season of VH1's hit series Single Ladies is set to debut this summer, although without creator/executive producer/showrunner Stacy A. Littlejohn, who left the show to pursue other projects late last year. That question lies at the heart of That's A Friend, a new series produced by Principato-Young for the Soiled Britches channel. The Kutcher of That's A Friend is Damien Dante Wayans, a peripheral member of the famous acting family who bides his time in this series by playing ultimately innocent pranks. In the first episode, he gets YouTube-famous rapper Watsky to fake a fight with huge black man Page Kennedy (who we recently heard on DeStorm's mixtape) to see if Watsky's friend would be willing to come to his aid in a clearly one-sided fight. As the only leading lady on Bet’s new hit comedy Second Generation Wayans, Tatyana Ali has to stand her ground against the boys — not that she, or her character Maya, have any problem doing that. “She totally holds her own with these guys, and she runs things,” Tatyana tells HollywoodLife.com of her latest on-screen persona. “I like how quick-witted and sharp-tongued she is. Bet has set Jan. 15 as the premiere date for new comedies "Real Husbands of Hollywood," starring Nick Cannon, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, J.B. Smoove and Robin Thicke, and "Second Generation Wayans," starring Damien Dante Wayans, Craig Wayans, George O. Gore II and Tatyana Ali.

"Real Husbands" is a "semi-scripted" comedy executive produced by Kevin Hart that promises a "surreal" look at Hollywood celebrity from the point of view of men whose wives also have Hollywood careers. Cannon is married to Mariah Carey, Kodjoe to Nicole Ari Parker, Martin to Tisha Campbell-Martin, Smoove to Shahidah Omar and Thicke to Paula Patton.

There’s a new Fox comedy show in development and Damon Wayans Jr. has just been added to the cast.

Deadline.com describes the untitled project as an ensemble comedy about the sexual politics of men and women. Created by Liz Meriwether, it centers on an elementary school teacher named Jessica, played by Zooey Deschanel, who breaks up with her boyfriend and moves to another apartment with three juvenile guys. Wayans Jr. plays the sweat pants-prone and out-of-shape Coach. Max Greenfield will play the the beer-loving hunk Schmidt and Jake M. Johnson will be a bartender named Nick.

Wayans Jr. made his film debut at age 11 in the 1994 film Blank Man playing the role of young Kevin alongside his father Damon Wayans.

He later performed a few bit roles on My Wife And Kids which he eventually parlayed into a staff writer position. He also appeared in Dance Flick, directed by Damien Wayans.

We associate awards season with unflattering couture gowns more than hand-to-hand combat, but after Jamie Foxx got jumped at Usher’s pre-Grammy show last night, we aren’t quite so confident. According to RadarOnline, Foxx fought with his former manager, allegedly duking it out before Usher even finished performing. “Jamie and the other guy started fighting about half way through Usher’s set at around 11:30pm,” their source says. “The fight spilled to the outside area and I don’t think Usher even noticed because the place was so packed with people.” Said the eyewitness, “When they got outside security intervened and after some cops approached both men seemed to make-up with one another before they left.” But…but…but Jamie has an Oscar! It looks like Jamie Foxx will be returning to his sketch comedy roots. Foxx’s first major gig was as a cast member of Fox’s sketch show In Living Color. Foxx has ordered 12 half-hour episodes of a sketch comedy show currently titled The Jamie Foxx Project. Although a pilot was shot recently, the weekly show will be different and the pilot will be discarded. Rising comedian/sketch comedy actor Affion Crockett (Dance Flick) will act in and produce the series Carl Jones, who was also involved in the original pilot, will remain with the project as a writer/co-executive producer.

The series will update the In Living Color formula by poking fun at pop culture. Celebrities and other news items will be the subject of satire and ridicule. Also, the cast is said to feature several young comedians. Sounds like a good idea to me. Foxx was hilarious back...

The Los Angeles Mission will make a difference for the homeless this Easter – with a little help from celebrity friends.

The Mission will serve 3,000 meals, provide Easter baskets with toys for children, and wash the feet of the homeless on Good Friday. Why feet washing? Easter Week foot washing is a Christian tradition – memorializing that Jesus washed the feet of his disciples the night before he was crucified. Many who are on the streets seldom have normal loving human contact – and this outreach of food, foot washing with podiatric care and new shoes is a way of inviting them to learn about the Mission’s services, including its long term program of restoration – in order to get off the streets permanently. The Los Angeles Christian Health Center uses this opportunity to address the foot problems suffered by many on the streets of Skid Row.

Fox's action comedy "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" fought to the top of a competitive heap during the long Memorial Day weekend, opening with a rousing $70 million in estimated domestic boxoffice.

Warner Bros.' sci-fi actioner "Terminator Salvation" -- the fourth "Terminator" pic and the first in six years -- performed ably, if unspectacularly, with $53.8 million in second place on the four-day frame and a $67.2 cume since bowing Thursday. Paramount's comedy spoof "Dance Flick" from the Wayans brothers debuted about as expected with $13.1 million, good for fifth place on the holiday-stretched session.

Sony's Tom Hanks starrer "Angels & Demons" fell 53% from its opening grosses in its latest Friday-Sunday outing, and through Monday rang up $27.7 million in fourth place. The book-based thriller boasts an 11-day cume of $87.8 million, while its over-performance abroad has Sony projecting the pic to hit $300 million worldwide tally by Wednesday.

First, we have "Dance Flick."

The Wayans family, purveyor of spoof films ("Scary Movie" franchise), returns to deconstruct the dance genre in "Dance Flick."

By now, if you've seen one spoof, you've seen them all, but director Damien Wayans shows flair for directing this genre even though the film is a hit or miss in the comedy department. I did chuckle once or twice though, so "Dance Flick" gets :2k dance baby dance kisses.

We also have "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian."

Ben Stiller returns in the role of security guard Larry Daley in the sequel. Director Shawn Levy also returns and this time, the plot revolves around Jedediah (Owen Wilson) and Octavius (Steve Coogan). The cowboy dude...

Keenen Ivory Wayans' nephew Damien makes his feature directorial debut with Dance Flick, the latest from a comedy factory even bigger and more confusing than Judd Apatow's. Let's see if I can get this straight. Keenen and his brother Damon Wayans started to break into showbiz in the early 1980s (apparently with some help from Eddie Murphy). Then Keenen wrote and directed the very funny blaxploitation spoof I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1988), which featured roles for many of his siblings, plus one for a young Chris Rock. Then he created the terrific TV show "In Living Color" (1990), which, among its other accomplishments, boosted Jim Carrey's career. Plot: Visualize a room filled with coherent, albeit, formulaic plots. Now picture a demolition crew blowing up that room with zestful overkill. Pick through the remaining detritus, piece together random flotsam, and voila! There’s your plot.

Who’s It For? Starfish. They’re slow, brainless, and they have a lot of free time.

Expectations: I was pretty sure I’d hang myself within the first ten minutes. Unfortunately, the theater staff took my noose away from me, because it ended up being much closer to five.

Damon Wayans Jr. as Thomas: Wayans Jr. has a fun presence. Put him in something well written and funny and he could probably do a good job. Here, he’s one of the only remotely enjoyable parts of a big, rotten sh*t hoagie.

The good thing about the new Wayans family spoof, Dance Flick, is you'll know within 60 seconds whether or not it's for you. A dance battle begins the movie, with two teams of dancers throwing out their best moves in an effort to outduel each other.

Roughly half a minute into the film, a dancer slides across the floor, leg hiked in the air, and urinates on a competitor. Some fifteen seconds later, another dancer contorts his body and accidentally shoves his head up his own ass.

You either think that's funny or you don't. If you think it's funny, then your ship has come in. And you're way too easily enteratined. However, if it's not up your alley, the rest of the 80-something minutes here won't offer you much of a respite.

The comic actor's sequel, Fox's "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian," has at least a chance of edging out the first new "Terminator" movie in almost six years for the No. 1 boxoffice ranking during the long Memorial Day weekend. That's largely because Warner Bros. will open "Terminator Salvation" Thursday with thousands of 12:01 a.m. performances, but weekend rankings will be based only on what the Christian Bale starrer grosses between Friday and Monday.

Bale plays the franchise's recurring John Connor character, a cyborg-battling defender of mankind portrayed by Nick Stahl in 2003's "Terminator: Rise of the Machines." Bale's casting has drawn keen attention as it is his first big-screen appearance since last summer's Batman blockbuster "The Dark Knight."

We here at MTV News got some of your favorite celebrities to place bets, or at the very least tell us whether they think Adam Lambert or Kris Allen will win "American Idol" tonight.

Most of the celebrities we talked to eagerly shared their excitement for Lambert and think that he is the clear front-runner to take home the prize.

Counting down to its theatrical debut, "Dance Flick" has got five new clips available for viewing pleasure. Varied in running time, the snippets help to give more idea on how tickling the movie will be. In the clip titled "No I in Team", for example, Thomas who is played by Damon Wayans Jr. explains that there is no "I" in team which leads to a ridiculous argument.

"Dance Flick" spoofs many dance movies from classic "Flashdance" to recent hits "Step Up" and "You Got Served". The story itself centers on a beautiful young woman, Megan White, and a young street dancer, Thomas Uncles. After her mother dies, White finds herself on a series of misadventures when she moves to the mean streets of the inner-city, where she meets Uncles who shares similar interest with her, dancing.

This parody movie directed by Damien Wayans was originally set for February 6 release in theaters across the U.
