- He was laid to rest at Deansgrange Cemetery, Blackrock, County Dublin, Ireland, within the same community where he maintained a custom build family home for over 30 years. The funeral service was private and in his obituary it was requested that in place of flowers or financial contributions that the readers "do a random act of kindness for another same as Aidan himself always did".

He made 10 feature films within one year of his contract and by the following year he had received the title as being the United Kingdom's "Most Promising Star of Tomorrow".
