“Citas Barcelona”, adaptación del popular formato Cites, ha comenzado el rodaje de su segunda temporada. Una serie que sigue la estela de la primera temporada, donde los personajes se encuentran cara a cara después de conocerse por internet; buscando amor, sexo o simplemente alguien que les aleje de la soledad.

At one of its increasingly regular presentations, on Thursday Netflix Spain unveiled seven new projects including “If Only,” a Spanish adaptation of the Netflix Turkish original canceled before shooting by Turkish authorities.

Where once Netflix would host its presentations early in the year and announce its ambitions for the next 12 months, the platform’s original Spanish programming pipeline has grown to an extent that Thursday’s showcase only covers the next few months and hinted at plenty more to come in late 2021.

GÖTEBORG, Sweden: “All the Sins”’ Finnish co-writers and creators Mika Ronkainen and Merja Aakko, winners of last year’s Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize for outstanding Nordic screenplay, are developing for Mrk Matila Röhr Productions an adoption drama set between Finland and Guatemala.

Based on a true story, the six-part series “Act of Telling” (a working title) will examine child adoption through the story of a young Finnish couple and their Guatemala-born son. The respectable father has harbored a secret for seven years -a crime he committed when he travelled alone for the adoption. When a journalist friend starts to ask questions about the son’s biological parents, the mystery threatens to come to light.

Producer Ilkka Matilä said that Finnish public broadcaster Yle has ordered the concept from the writing duo. He’s now looking for a “potential co-production partner who could facilitate the Guatemala shoot.”

Neither are commonplace dramas. Produced by Finland’s Mrp Matila Röhr Productions, behind “All the Sins,” winner of the 2019 Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize, “The Paradise” begins with a softly-sung song, ·”Viento, viento de la montaña” and aerial shots of a caravan wending its way through low-wooded sierra to Fuengirola, an enclave on Spain’s sun-kissed Costa del Sol. “I’m so happy,” a young wife says in Finnish to her husband wo drives the caravan as they embrace, surveying Fuengirola below them.

Spain's Globomedia is getting behind Luna, el misterio de Calenda (Moon), a 19th-century werewolf thriller that toplines Belen Rueda (The Orphanage), one of Spain's biggest box office draws, as a judge sent to investigate mysterious occurrences in the benighted village of Calenda, reports Variety. Globomedia's new series are high concept and break new ground for the local biz -- for example, Spain's never had a werewolf series -- and mix genres -- Moon has a teen romance story strand, with the judge's daughter falling for a local civil guard officer (Fran Perea). The series will be budgeted north of Spain's average Euros 500,000 ($688,000) an episode, though they'll stop short of "Eagle's" $1 million per episode.

The Orphanage and Julia's Eyes star Belen Rueda will continue her genre streak with Spain's Moon . Entitled Luna, el misterio de Calenda , Variety says the project is set in the 19th century and finds Rueda playing a judge who is sent to a small village to investigate "mysterious occurrences." Moon is envisioned as a television series, which is an ambitious endeavor for the country which has never had werewolf-themed television fare. Fran Perea will co-star as the village's civil guard officer. Rueda recently made headlines when she was attached to Oriol Paulo's Spanish thriller The Body .
