This is the trailer for a new web series that offers us a different take on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. It's a more grounded, gritty take on the franchise, and it actually looks like it could be really freakin' cool! Here's the synopsis:
Evil Rebuilt. Power Reborn. - As the world celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Power Rangers, a controlling paramilitary group known as The Silver Guardians has taken over the duty of protecting the citizens of Angel Grove. Claire Ashmore (Dina Cataldi) is a former top soldier of the Silver Guardians, until she unearths the plans made by the head of the organization, General E.A. Collins (John Damroth). For the first time on the other side of a conflict, Claire must stop the Silver Guardians before it is too late. She will stumble upon the help of the ancient mythological being known as Zordon, the former mentor of the Power Rangers,...

Some trailers focus on grossing you out. The bloody mouths, the stumped limbs, the overall yuck factor of it all. Some trailers focus on sexual deviancy, up-skirt shots, copulating with members of the clergy or fornicating behind a butcher's counter. The ambitious filmmakers behind Psycho Street decided to just go on ahead and throw it all into one pretty extreme trailer. Wow.
Psycho Street is a three-part anthology film starring Tiffany Shepis as the best looking version of the Crypt Keeper we've ever seen, welcoming you to the twisted town of Kronanburg where things ... well, things tend to get fucked up. And even though the film has already been picked up by R-Squared for a 2012 release, we thought you'd like to be the first on your block to take an early look at this intriguing Nsfw (that's Not Safe For Work for you cubicle jockeys prowling the internet on company time) trailer.

Dig on these Exclusive Nsfw Stills that director Anthony G. Sumner, don't show your kids or memaw this shit! Psycho Street is another cool film I'm close to and been following for a long time. The horror anthology has a really cool and insane segment called "Lewis", sounds pretty tame and simple but it'll shock, floor and possibly offend you, it pushed the envelope as far or futher than anything I've seen in a long time and will probably make you go pray after witnessing the bloody carnage that is "Lewis".
If you've been missing that 70's horror feel then this is what you've been looking for, devil worship, sacrifice, blood, gore and nudity all in one segment! I have a lot of friends invloved with "Lewis" and the entire anthology and I'm happy to see all of this come together!

Actor Jerry Murdock has shared his Best and Worst Films of 2010 with us. Thanks for asking about my picks. Honestly, I don't see many movies in the theater anymore (annoying people, too expen$ive) and am quite picky about seeing films. I usually wait for feedback from critics and friends before I see anything. With that being said...here goes:
Best: Inception, True Grit, Black Swan, The American, Kick Ass and Slices Of Life
Worst: Only one...Jonah Hex. (I am a big fan of the comic...I Had to see it. I hated this movie so much, it made me want to harm puppies)...

The first thing people will notice about horror director Alan Rowe Kelly (Don't Look In The Basement, I'll Bury You Tomorrow) is that he is a gender bender, but Kelly has been bending more then genders his entire career as he has broken out the idea of conventionality. At the age of 39, with 40 just right around the corner, he had an epiphany. Bored with a career as a stylist, he made the sudden and dramatic move to horror. First testing the waters as an author, he switched over to the world of indie horror film directing where he won great acclaim for "I"ll Bury You Tomorrow". As he continued to direct films, he also started making a name for himself in the indie horror world as an actor playing power players, agents, something that rhymes with witch, etc. These were powerful, empowered characters that personally reflected upon Alan Rowe Kelly himself.

Scott W. Perry is an independent filmmaker who I just recently have had the pleasure of getting to know some and helping to spread the good word of his new horror short called 'Something Just', which we have shared with y'all here on Gt already. Check out my latest "Versus" to find out more on this cool filmmaker, how he got into the game and see what other projects he has for us horror fans to look forward to.
Brian S- First off, how'd you get into film making?
Swp- I’ve always loved film and I guess it was just a product of being raised in the right era for horror. It’s a clichéd story but it’s a true story. My relatives never looked beyond the rating of a horror film to allow me to watch it and there were some movies I remember seeing in the theater.

Director Jeremiah KippThe Sadist was previously known as Swine and the film stars make-up phenom Tom Savini (The Dead Matter). The script has been penned by Fangoria writer Jeremiah Kipp and The Sadist will be Kipp's debut in the director's chair. The first trailer for this feature shows a crazed Savini taunting and tormenting hunters in the bush. Maniacal eyes aside, this independent project has potential despite the challenges of a small budget. No word on the release, but low budget horror fans can look at the clip inside.
The synopsis for The Sadist here:
"The Sadist stars Savini as a combat veteran with serious psychological damage who stalks campers and hunters in the woods" (Fangoria).
Director: Jeremiah Kipp.
Writers: Frank Wihbey, Joe Pisani and Pedro Ondrush.

I met Arthur Cullipher in Louisville, Kentucky at the Fright Night Film Fest this summer and have made a friend for life. Filming for Alan Rowe Kelly's remake of the drive-in classic, Don't Look in the Basement has been postponed. According to Kelly the bad economy is taking its toll on indie films this year, but he hopes to have the film up and running by 2010. In the meantime, Kelly plans on completing the anthology Gallery of Fear starring an all-star indie horror cast including Debbie Rochon, Raine Brown, Terry West, Jerry Murdock, plus many more. Fans can expect Gallery sometime around February/March 2010.

Fango recently spent a day on location with the new horror short Something Just—specifically the basement of filmmaker Scott W. Perry (pictured left). Here, sadistic serial killer Thomas Sutcliffe, portrayed in a bit of against-type casting by East Coast horror stalwart Alan Rowe Kelly, terrorizes a bound, captive girl played by genre newcomer Joslyn Jensen. You can see some exclusive pics from this and other Something Just moments below.
Perry’s follow-up to his vampire story Insatiable (which we covered here) also stars Jerry Murdock as the guardian of one of Sutcliffe’s victims, who goes to an old friend (Joe Zaso) to seek vengeance; in the process, dark secrets from the past are revealed. This is the first production of Perry’s Slick Devil Entertainment to be lensed in 1080p high definition, with cinematographer Dominick Sivilli creating an oppressively creepy atmosphere in the smoke-suffused basement as Kelly manhandles and murders Jensen.

Somehow the gay scheduling gods and the horror scheduling gods saw fit to allow Fango’s NYC Weekend Of Horrors and NewFest: The New York Lgbt Film Festival to overlap this year. Which meant that I got to fly to NYC for both the world premiere of my latest gay thriller, Pornography, and some good, fanboy geekout.
The downside to film fests and conventions is - I really hate crowds. I’m a very shy person, believe it or not, and being dropped into a crowd of people I don’t know is pretty much torture. (Strangely, I love to talk in front of a crowd.) I’ve learned to handle it because I have to, but… blech. So I have to give big ups to Alan Rowe Kelly, Bart Mastronardi and Jerry Murdock for letting me tag along all weekend.

If you were lucky enough to attend Fango’s recently wrapped Weekend of Horrors, you hopefully were also fortunate enough to check out the phenomenal short Insatiable, which screened on Sunday. As much about vampirism and fetishism as it is about a dwindling marriage, the flick is a rare silent pleasure, harking back to the days when creating films was more about experimentation than making money.
“Insatiable really started out of my frustration from trying to sell a feature script of mine in 2004,” writer/director Scott W. Perry reveals. “I kept on inquiring to many production companies looking for scripts, but the answers were all the same: no vampires, because they’ve been done to death. I had just left a job at A&E, where one of my duties was to watch their prime-time programming before it went to air for quality control. Now, it was reality shit, but...

Indie filmmaker Bart Mastronardi gave Fango the first word that the official website for his psychological shocker Vindication has just gone live. It was designed by fellow East Coast frightmeister Alan Rowe Kelly, who also has a small role in the movie.

I had never seen any of Alan Rowe Kelly’s films until he contacted me—literally moments after posting my first Gay Of The Dead blog. And yes, that is Alan in the photo to the left. Don’t worry, we’ll get to that later.
Kelly’s opening salvo to me was the grisly, intense and controversial A Far Cry From Home segment from the recently wrapped Gallery Of Fear anthology, which he co-wrote, co-directed and produced for his Southpaw Pictures. From there I jumped back to his first feature, I’LL Bury You Tomorrow, a loopy, sprawling, bloody feature that manages to wind storylines of seven main characters into one big crazy fest. After that, I popped in The Blood Shed, which starts off with a preteen kid being yanked in half and just gets more insane (see: awesome) from there.

Indie filmmaker Alan Rowe Kelly sent along word that his long-aborning anthology feature Gallery Of Fear has wrapped, with the completion of the wraparound segment “Critic’s Choice.” This part of the film stars Fangoria Radio’s Debbie Rochon (pictured) as Roberta Van Houten, a nasty art critic who introduces each story.

Indie director Stolis Hadjicharalambous gave us the heads-up that a new trailer for his gory action-thriller Crossed recently went live on the movie’s MySpace page. You can check it out below.
Crossed was scripted by Christopher J. Otis, who stars as a young hitman dealing with the unsolved murder of his father (Jerry Murdock), while also tangling with other underworld figures, including an especially sadistic killer called The Ripper (Javier Rodriguez, who also produced).
