- Started his electronics career at six years old. Learned how to read a schematic and build basic circuits and use a soldering iron. Rebuilt his family's RCA console TV at age nine. Later, he would pickup discarded TV's, stereos and tape players left on street curbs. Once refurbished would resell and make money. His father would go to friend's houses fixing TV's and Williams learned how to assist.

- [on using alternative stations to create new programs]: LPFM, Part 15 and LPAM don't sound like much but they do on a shoestring budget. Hurting for programming. Despite the low wattage, many of them live on the internet with worldwide listeners. This was a great symbiotic relationship: They got great programming and they became our sandbox. Tweaking and getting feedback and readying the program for national release. Cyber-Line was already a turnkey product. It worked wonderfully.
