Ironically enough, this was where his acting career started taking shape for real.
- Old personal friend from the army days of author Yakov Munkebo. Kim Sønderholm Andersen used the friendship very much of a basis for the work with his character in the war shortfilm Hjemkomst (2004). Munkebo's book "Krig tur/retur" is also about these experiences.

- During filming of Tour de Force (2010), in the scene where Frank, played by Kim Sønderholm, is hit over the head with a bottle, his expression of pain is quite real as the fake bottle turned out to be a lot harder than it was supposed to be. "I have been lifting weights on and off for years, but never anything this regularly and planned out" says Sønderholm, "It's taken quite a bit of restraint and demanded me taking a lot of control in the process, but I'm really happy I finally got around to do something about it. I'm finally happy with the way I look now, and can only wish I got around to it at an earlier place in time." (November 2012)
