Artur Matveev is a professional film director and airline pilot. He was born in Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia and worked as professional civil aviation pilot for 10 years. In 2021, he graduated from the Alexander Mitta Film School and directed his first short film, "Déjà Vu." During his studies and subsequent work, he was mentored by famous Russian directors such as Sergey Mokritsky, Nikolay Lebedev, and Yuri Obukhov. Later, he shot his second short film, "Bluff," with producer Andrey Lisyansky. He worked on a feature film dedicated to aviation industry, but later left to Taiwan. Before leaving, he and his team, including cinematographer Ruslan Bekrenev, with whom he has worked from the beginning, made a personal statement film "Dream," dedicated to those who, in pursuit of their dream, sometimes have to turn away from their path. Artur's films continue to be shown at film festivals around the world and win awards. Artur still pursues his dream of becoming a prominent director while maintaining his wings as a pilot.
