Welcome to USA’s Summer Camp — not to be confused with NBC’s Camp — where the perks of showing up to camp include a lovely lake, the sun, weekly color wars, the opportunity to meet other hot and obnoxious people (and a few token nerds), and the awakening of any and all terrible memories you once associated with sleepaway camp.

If you dug the first episode of Ghost Trek, which we featured here at Dread Central recently, then you'll be gaga over the newest installment in the horror-comedy series. And those of you at Mad Monster Party this Saturday, March 23, will have the first look at it.

The all-new, half-hour uncensored episode of Ghost Trek premieres at Mad Monster Party 2013 on Saturday, March 23rd, at 7 p.m. The sleeper hit of Fright Night Film Fest 2011 and winner of “Best Comedy” which aired in webisodes on Dread Central last Halloween returns to Mad Monster Party 2013 with an all-new episode. The wordy, but wholly appropriate, Ghost Trek: Goomba Body Snatchers Mortuary Lockdown (and Panel Show) premieres at Mad Monster Party in Charlotte, Nc, at the sold out Blake Hotel.

The latest edition of the Indie Spotlight features the fourth episode of Ghost Trek, along with a monster presidential campaign ad, movie posters, photos of Danielle Harris from Devil’s Night, and more:

Ghost Trek Episode 4: Ghost Trek follows the Paranormal Underworld Detective Society (Puds) as they investigate haunts across the U.S. and abroad between tanning beds, babes, body-building, and bong hits — all the while risking life and limb capturing the undead and unexplained on video.

Dread Central has been airing webisodes of Ghost Trek, a faux reality show lampooning all of the ghost hunting shows on TV today (like a Grave Encounters comedy). They began on 10/8 and now have 3 webisodes up, with a fourth coming next Monday. We recently got our hands on the press release that describes the show and links you to a featurette, trailer and an interview with some cast members from the WWE.

We’re back with the latest installment of the Indie Spotlight. In today’s feature we have the first two episodes of the Ghost Trek webseries, a trailer for Rites of Passage, a Walking Dead-inspired musical, and much more:

Ghost Trek: The Kinsey Report: “Do you ever watch those ghost hunting shows and scratch your head, thinking to yourself, “These shows are so ridiculous. Why am I watching this?” Well, Ghost Trek creator, Michael Plumides sat through marathon episodes of paranormal reality TV one Christmas and came up with a comic-horror concept called, Ghost Trek, which takes a swipe at the whole genre – with you in mind.

Ghost Trek follows the Paranormal Underworld Detective Society (Puds) as they investigate haunts across the U.S. and abroad between tanning beds, babes, body-building, and bong hits — all the while risking life and limb capturing the undead and unexplained on video.

Writer and co-director of "Ghost Trek", Michael Plumides, has agreed to share some of his upcoming project with the Dread Central readership. The horror-comedy webisodes will begin on Monday, October 8, and run through Halloween.

"Ghost Trek" can best be described as "Reno 911" meets "Ghost Hunters", and the show's gang of misfits are out to prove that they're the funniest bunch of paranormal researchers since Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz and Egon Spengler. Those of you lucky enough to be in the Louisville area of the Bluegrass State on Saturday, July 23rd, will get your chance to have a sneak peek at the pilot!

With a tagline that basically sums up the series ("Ghost Trek": Paranormal research with an emphasis on bad taste), the Paranormal Underworld Detective Society (that's right, Puds) is portrayed by an incredibly eclectic group of individuals. Actors, reality stars and former professional wrestlers are among the cast members, each bringing their own unique talent to the program.
