Gautam Rode is an Indian TV actor who made his debut with a Zee TV show called Jahan Pyaar Mile (1999) in 1995. Since then, he has gained popularity through TV shows like Baa Bahoo Aur Baby (2005), Saraswatichandra (2013), Mahakumbh - Ek Rahasya, Ek Kahani (2014), etc.
After finishing college, Rode moved to Mumbai for work. His father, Surendra Rode, is a retired broker, and his mother, Sangeeta Rode, is a jewellery designer.
He is married to actress Pankhuri Awasthi, whom he met on the sets of Suryaputra Karn (2015).
Rode finished his schooling at Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan, Delhi. After this, he went on to finish his Bachelor of Commerce from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University.
He began his career in the entertainment industry as a model and has worked with many famous brands like Raymond, Maruti Suzuki, and Close-Up toothpaste.
Apart from TV shows, Rode has appeared in a few Bollywood movies. He made his Bollywood debut with Annarth (2002) in 2002, in which he played the role of inspector Sameer Deshmukh. He has also appeared in films like Aksar 2 (2017).
His 2013 TV show Saraswatichandra (2013) proved to be career-defining for him and won him several awards and nominations. He also won the Gold Award for Most Fit Actor in 2016. Gautam has hosted several TV shows, including India's Got Talent (2009) and Nach Baliye (2005).
Rode was a part of the ZEE5 direct-to-video film State of Siege: Temple Attack (2021).
Apart from his successful acting career, Gautam is a fitness enthusiast and loves to travel. He regularly posts about his workout routines and healthy lifestyle on social media.
