Welcome to this review of All Elite Wrestling’s most eagerly-awaited pay-per-views. Forbidden Door 2 builds on the tremendous original PPV from last June and is riding the coattails of some fantastic teaser matches between Aew and New Japan talent we’ve had on Aew television in recent weeks. We’ve got Taz, Excalibur and the English voice of Njpw, Kevin Kelly on commentary so let’s get into it.
Zero Hour Match #1: Swerve Strickland, Brian Cage & The Gates of Agony (Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun) def. El Desperado & Chaos The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
The Gates of Agony double teamed Chuckie T. Trent grabbed a tag and took Toa off his feet with a big body press off the top turnbuckle. Rocky connected with a tope to Brian Cage. Chuck Taylor went over the top and wiped out the Gates of Agony. Trent dropped Toa with his own aerial assault.

We’ve got a bonus show from Aew this week, the sixth installment of the quarterly Battle of the Belts, which followed directly from this week’s episode of Rampage this past Friday on TNT. Let’s get to it!
Match #1: Aew International Championship Match – Orange Cassidy def. Dralistico The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Dralistico drilled Orange with a knee strike and then a step-up hurracanrana. Orange dropkicked Dralistico, both hands in his pockets. Dralistico flew out of the ring and landed on top of the Best Friends. Lfi and Best Friends brawled up the ramp and to the back. Orange rocked Dralistico with a spinning Ddt. Dralistico fired back with a Code Breaker on Cassidy for a near fall. Orange rallied back with a Stun Dog Millionaire. Dralistico used a springboard hurracanrana on Orange and then worked on Cassidy’s arm. Countering the Beach Break, Dralistico...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which once again this week features a mere Five matches (music to my ears!) Anyway, on with the review…
Match #1: Juice Robinson def. Leon Ruffin
My Thoughts: This is Easily the best match Juice Robinson has had in Aew so far. Leon Ruffin was a great opponent and a brilliant foil for Robinson, who needed the win to build his rep in the company, especially considering his antics on Aew’s main show(s) last week.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Kiera Hogan def. Leila Grey
My Thoughts: An interesting match-up, with a former baddie taking on a current baddie in what could be a new feud in Aew, one that would allow the Jade Cargill hype-train to continue but allow for “camp” to take loses whilst building up possible opponents to dethrone Cargill.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #3: The Iron Savages def.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features thirteen(!) matches which -like last week – immediately fills me with dread… Anyway, on with the review.
Match #1: Matt Sydal def. Slim J
My Thoughts: So we’re getting Matt Sydal back with Top Flight And adding Ar Fox to the mix as well? That would certainly seem the case after the end of this match. I hope this “feud” with the Trustbusters doesn’t drag out too long. Mainly because Trustbusters are a waste of time Imho. Still, you have to appreciate how good this match was!
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Julia Hart def. Devlyn Macabre
My Thoughts: Evil Julia Hart does bad things… In a squash match once again., which will come as no surprise to anyone – especially given the House of Black’s dominance in Aew.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: The Workhorsemen def.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features nine matches on the card. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard (who also opens the show in a match) on commentary. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Matt Menard and Angelo Parker def. The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate)
My Thoughts: This was a standard squash match from Menard and Parker, the only notable thing was that the crowd really weren’t into this match at all. A damp squib.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Juice Robinson def. Jake Crist
My Thoughts: Woah… Former Impact wrestler Jake Crist in an Aew match-up against Juice Robinson and it wasn’t a total squash! In fact, Crist gave Robinson a run for his money in this one.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #3: Dark Order def. Renny D, Matt Brannigan, and Crash Jaxson

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features seven matches on the card And is the 100th episode of the show… however we get no celebration, no rejoicing, just another YouTube show with regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary, joined once again by Roh’s Ian Riccaboni. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Red Velvet def. Billie Starkz
My Thoughts: What a cracking start to this week’s Elevation. Red Velvet and Billie Starkz put on a great competitive match that made Bille Starkz look good in defeat and was a great showcase for Red Velvet – who’s surely going to be the one to, given recent events, dethrone Jade Cargill? Loved this one.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Dark Order (John Silver and Alex Reynolds) def. The Workhorsemen (Jd Drake and Anthony Henry)
My Thoughts: Two great tag teams going at it,...

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features eight matches and takes us back to the typical Dark studio setting rather than coming from on the road… Anyway, on with the review.
Match #1: Britt Baker def. Billie Starkz
My Thoughts: This was a fantastic opening match, with Billie Starkz giving Britt Baker a decent run, almost getting the win with a super-close pinfall attempt. Starkz even made Baker bleed! Apparently this was filmed a while ago, which takes some of the momentum out of the finished product but still, I really enjoyed this one.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Dark Order def. Baliyan Akki, Marcus Kross & Vary Morales
My Thoughts: Dark Order versus enhancement talent… Oh, I wonder who;s going to win this one? And what do you know, it’s also a squash! Yes, this one weas another by-the-book Aew YouTube match for the Dark Order.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features nine matches and some more “dark” regulars rather than the stacked cards we’ve had more recently. On with the review…
Match #1: Angelico def. Dante Casanova
My Thoughts: This was ridiculously short and decidedly average. Casanova did get a pinfall attempt on Angelico but to no avail. I’m guessing this is the start of the build of the Sap, the new faction featuring Luther, Serpentico and Angelico.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: The Workhorsemen def. The Hughes Brothers
My Thoughts: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but I really Love The Workhorsemen, I really do. Which meant I enjoyed this match a lot. It felt like a breath of fresh air after the opening match hat’s for sure!
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #3: Fuego del Sol def. Lucky Ali...
