Kaitlin Olson, nominated for an Emmy, has openly supported Blake Lively in her legal battle with actor-director Justin Baldoni. The dispute centers on allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation at work during the production of “It Ends with Us.”
Ohlson wrote on Instagram on Thursday that Lively was “a kind, lovely, honest, and generous person (and an amazing mom).” Her sharing coverage of Lively’s allegations against Baldoni highlighted the close links between their families. James Olson and Ryan Reynolds, married to Blake Lively, own the Welsh football club Wrexham A.F.C. together.
Today, Lively filed an 80-page complaint with the California Civil Rights Department. This support comes at the same time. The complaint says that Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, made the workplace hostile, which harmed the production of the domestic violence drama. Fallout has continued over the holidays for Justin Baldoni as more speak out in support of Blake Lively, following her filing of a complaint alleging a targeted smear campaign in retaliation against her addressing of sexual harassment on the set of their film It Ends With Us.
Among those stepping up for Lively include her brother-in-law and High School Musical actor Bart Johnson, who wrote on X Dec. 23, “He’s a fraud. He puts on the “costume“ of a hero, man bun and all. Used all of the trendy catchphrases & buzz words for his podcasts. None of it’s genuine. It’s all theater. And everyone fell for it. For years. The ongoing controversy surrounding the film “It Ends With Us” has taken a surprising turn with the news that Justin Baldoni’s former publicist, Stephanie Jones, is suing two ex-employees. Jones alleges that these employees, Jennifer Abel and Melissa Nathan, not only tarnished her reputation but also orchestrated a smear campaign against Blake Lively.
A Public Relations Nightmare:
Jones, a well-respected publicist with a roster of A-list clients, claims she entrusted Abel to manage Baldoni’s publicity. However, after sexual harassment allegations against Baldoni by Lively surfaced, things took a drastic turn. According to the lawsuit, Abel, with the help of crisis specialist Nathan, allegedly:
Stole Clients: The lawsuit accuses Abel and Nathan of forming their own firm and poaching clients, including Baldoni, from Jones. Orchestrated a Smear Campaign: Jones alleges the duo secretly collaborated with Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios (the production company) to discredit Lively in the media. Shifted...

Justin Baldoni‘s publicist Jennifer Abel is being sued by her former boss Stephanie Jones, but new leaked evidence is providing more details about what happened.
A previous report revealed that Stephanie‘s company Jonesworks was the source of the leaked text messages that were included in Blake Lively‘s lawsuit against Justin.
The Variety report said that Jennifer was fired by Jonesworks on August 21, just days after It Ends With Us was released. She was reportedly fired after the company’s founder learned that she was “poised to leave and start her own firm.” Jennifer was ordered to turn over company phone and sign documents.
Now we’ve learned that Jennifer actually quit the company in July, but planned on remaining at the PR firm until wrapping the It Ends With Us press tour.

With a defamation lawsuit filed by his former publicist, Stephanie Jones, the controversy surrounding Justin Baldoni, director of “It Ends With Us,” heated up on Tuesday. This legal fight adds to the trouble that started when star Blake Lively said Star was sexually harassing her.
Jones, the founder of Jonesworks, filed the lawsuit in New York against Baldoni, his production company Wayfarer Studios, former employee Jennifer Abel, and crisis coordinator Melissa Nathan. The suit says that the defendants planned a campaign to hurt Jones’s business and image and tried to make Lively look bad while blaming Jones.
Lively filed her complaint with the California Civil Rights Department (Ccrd), which is when this legal action was filed. In her lawsuit, she said that Baldoni and other people harassed her sexually while they were making “It Ends With Us.” A court order gave Lively access to thousands of texts and emails...

Infighting between Justin Baldoni’s publicity team continued full steam ahead Tuesday as, following a breach of contract and defamation lawsuit filed in New York that morning, text messages obtained by TheWrap indicate Rwa Communications founder and CEO Jennifer Abel (formerly partner at Jonesworks) resigned last summer from Stephanie Jones’ firm over its founder’s “bullying” of colleagues amid the high-profile smear campaign against “It Ends With Us” star Blake Lively.
The text messages and July 10 resignation letter reviewed by TheWrap, all of which can be read below, appear to counter claims within Tuesday’s lawsuit that Abel was fired while conspiring to “steal” Jones’ clients and trash her reputation.

Justin Baldoni is probably about to have an even worse Christmas than anticipated, and, amidst sexual harassment, retaliation and It Ends With Us smear campaign claims from Blake Lively, things were looking pretty bad already.
Pummeled and increasingly shunned by Hollywood power players, podcast co-hosts and non-profits as a consequence of Lively’s allegations that paint the one-time feminist ally as misogynistic, petty and kind of dim, Baldoni just got hit with his first formal lawsuit out of the enlarging scandal. Now Stephanie Jones, the founder of the Jane The Virgin vet’s own former PR company, is going after him, his Wayfarer Studios and publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel for defamation, breach of contract and more.
“Defendants Abel and Nathan secretly conspired for months to publicly and privately attack Jones and Jonesworks, to breach multiple contracts and induce contractual breaches, and to steal clients and business prospects,” declares...

On Aug. 21, Jonesworks founder Stephanie Jones called publicist Jen Abel into the office. The two women had been in the thick of a grueling crisis PR campaign on behalf of client Justin Baldoni, the “It Ends With Us” director and the subject of incessant media coverage thanks to a mysterious rift with the film’s star, Blake Lively.
But Jones wasn’t looking to strategize over the latest headlines. Instead, Abel was met by a security guard and an attorney and handed a document to sign and told to relinquish her phone. Jones had caught wind of the fact that Abel was poised to leave and start her own firm. Jonesworks had been hemorrhaging star clients like Dwayne Johnson and Jeff Bezos over the past year.
Jones was not in the meeting, which was conducted by her chief of staff. Later, Abel wrote to a colleague, “Steph won’t face me.

Blake Lively has filed a complaint against It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, for sexual harassment and an alleged coordinated effort to destroy her reputation, per the filing obtained by The Hollywood Reporter. Baldoni’s legal team fired back, slamming her “shameful,” “serious and categorically false accusations against Mr. Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and its representatives.”
According to Lively’s complaint, things got so bad during filming that an all-hands-on-deck meeting was held to address her claims of a hostile work environment.
The demands that were addressed in that meeting, according to the filing first obtained by TMZ, included not showing nude videos or images of women to Lively; no more mentions of Baldoni’s alleged previous “pornography addiction”; no more discussions about sexual experiences in front of Lively and others; no further mentions of cast and crew’s genitalia; and no more inquiries about Lively’s weight.

Blake Lively has accused her “It Ends With Us” director and co-star Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment. In a bombshell complaint, the actress alleges that Baldoni attempted to mount a smear campaign against her and claims his behavior caused her and her family “severe emotional harm,” according to a copy obtained by Variety. Bryan Freedman, a lawyer for Baldoni and his production company Wayfarer Studios, fired back at Lively’s complaint in a statement. He called it “shameful” and full of “categorically false accusations.”
According to the complaint lodged with the California Civil Rights department, a meeting was held in January of 2024 to address Lively’s claims and her demands for returning to work on “It Ends With Us” after the actors and writers strikes had ended, allowing production to resume. Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, was reportedly in attendance at the meeting.

This month’s installment of Deep Cuts Rising features a variety of horror movies. Some selections reflect a specific day or event in July, and others were chosen at random.
Regardless of how they came to be here, or what they’re about, these past movies can generally be considered overlooked, forgotten or unknown.
This month’s offerings feature a giant monster bug, home invaders, a zombie boy, a killer videographer, and a water spirit.
Blue Monkey (1987)
Directed by William Fruet.
As its name suggests, Pandemonium Day (July 14) is all about bedlam. And William Fruet’s Canadian tax-shelter movie Blue Monkey (a.k.a. Insect!) is as chaotic as they come. Originally called “Green Monkey” at one point, this movie’s final title is still a misnomer; there are no monkeys here. Instead, the characters battle a deadly parasite inside a quarantined hospital.

Hiding under a mask of collected sanity, Alan is an aging actor with a serious serial killing hobby. His dark, reclusive world is blown open when a young, bubbly blonde moves in as a roommate. Her presence soon begins to further shake Alan’s already twisted psyche.
Deadly Famous is a story mainly told through Alan’s camera, which is ‘always rolling’. What it captures is Alan’s twisted life as he falls deeper and deeper into darkness (a darkness he is already pretty deep in, I might add) with the arrival of his new housemate. A little note to people looking for cheap housing: if the person posts the advert...
