Borislav Mihailovski is a Bulgarian based writer/director and designer. In 1996 he graduated The National Film and Theater Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria with a Master of Arts degree in Theater Directing. After some years of directing and writing for theaters in Bulgaria he started a career in the Art Department in B.U.F.O., an American film production company in Bulgaria. In 2014 after 15 years and more than 40 movies as a freelancer in Art Department he had built a career as a Production Designer a.k.a. Bobbie Michaels. For 6 years he had been the Head of Art Department in an international production company working for Universal, Sony and Twentieth Century Fox. He is also credited for his various work in productions as a Location Manager and UPM. In his rich work portfolio he'd acquired experience as a copywriter, advertising consultant and commercials art director. He'd been writing for TV spots and sketches. In 2015 he decided to restart his career as a writer/director and he attended a course on Screenwriting with The award-winning writer/producer Golan Ramras in Nu Boyana Film Studios. His production company- Magic Storylines has just finished his full length feature film debut- "Love, Boyden". His filmography as a film director includes "Paranoia", a 2012 11 min. short fiction film, Bulgaria shot on 4K Digital, Stereo and the 2018 "Love, Boyden"- a 111min. Bulgarian feature fiction film debut shot on 4K Digital, Stereo. The film premiered on the 31st of August, 2018 at the 42nd Montreal World Film Festival.
Borislav Mihailovski was born on the 20th of May, 1971 in Sliven, Bulgaria. He is married and he has two daughters.
