On IFC's new comedy game show "Bunk," premiering June 8, host Kurt Braunohler will welcome a rotating lineup of comics to join him for 10 half-hour episodes of a surreal combination of "Double Dare" and "Family Feud" style games with "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" gags. But he won't wear shoes.The traditional television host is always perfectly coiffed and expertly appointed, Braunohler says, so he opted to go barefoot as a constant joke. "To have just one thing like that be so horribly off really makes me laugh," he says. "I like that a lot."Of course, a lot of things are a little "off" about "Bunk," the idea for which began when Braunohler was writing with Ethan T. Berlin for an MTV game show. They had grown frustrated because they felt their funniest ideas never had a chance to make it to air, so Berlin and "Bunk" co-creator Eric Bryant.

Cable channel IFC officially announced its upcoming comedy programming Tuesday.
The shows in the lineup, slated to debut at various points throughout the next year, is anchored by a third season of "Portlandia," as well as a new show created by and starring Marc Maron and a batch of other new shows largely centered around up-and-coming comedians.
Scott Aukerman and Reggie Watts, the host and "one-man bandleader" respectively of the upcoming talk/variety show "Comedy Bang! Bang!," hosted the first-ever IFC upfront Tuesday night, which the network nicknamed "Upfront-landia." In addition to "Bang! The Ifp’s popular conference for writers and writer/directors, Script to Screen, returns to the 92nd St. Y Tribeca on Saturday, March 17 with a program that promises to mix practical advice with freewheeling programs intended to generate creative sparks.
The day’s program features a keynote presentation by Bennett Miller, the Oscar-nominated director of Moneyball and Capote, and a Screenwriter’s Roundtable featuring up-and-coming auteurs Ry Russo-Young (Nobody Walks), Leslye Headland (Bachelorette), Madeline Olnek (Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same) and Liza Johnson (Return).
As a promising change of pace from traditional panels, Script to Screen also features a pair of interactive events. Opening day will be a creative writing game led by comedians Ethan T. Berlin and Eric Bryant, the creators of IFC’s new comedy game show Bunk. Later, novelist and Bored to Death creator Jonathan Ames will stage a version of the Surrealist “Exquisite Corpse” game.

IFC has picked up two new scripted comedy series, Comedy Bang! Bang! and Bunk (working title). Both have received orders for 10 episodes to premiere back-to-back in June as a one-hour original comedy block. “With popular shows like Portlandia and Todd Margaret currently on our air and now the addition of Comedy Bang! Bang! and Bunk, IFC is quickly becoming known as a destination for top comedic talent,” said IFC’s Svp oroginal programming Debbie DeMontreux. Comedy Bang!
