- About his controversial role as policeman 4708 in Yon Fan's "Colour Blossoms" Carl says, "At the end of the day the way I looked at my character...It wasn't about being heterosexual. It wasn't about being homosexual. It was about being sexual. It's about sexual feeling. It's strictly about sexual energy. Actually I had a revelation when I was shooting 'Toh Sik'. Life is too short to worry about what other people think of you. Personally for me, it was about really taking risks to a certain extent. Next year you'll probably never hear of me again. I took the risk"
- My favorite city in Asia for traveling is Bangkok. I love its diversity and the people, and the fact that you can eat world-class cuisine in a chic restaurant and then jump on a motorcycle taxi and visit a sprawling night market all in one night.
- My oldest sister is a concert producer in Hong Kong, my other sister is a dancer in London. I guess we all got the entertainment bug from my father. And I guess he wishes we all had real jobs instead.
