A native of Long Island, NY, Joe Frenna has been living, working, and creating in Iowa's Cedar Valley for the past 18 years. It was here in Iowa that he first became a teacher, play director, and writer. With his debut film, Hotspots of Waverly, Joe makes the transition as a director from stage to screen. He considers himself fortunate to have many extremely talented and dedicated local actors, musicians, and technicians willing to volunteer their services to his creative vision. With Hotspots, Joe has also established his production company, Cornfield Babylon. Upcoming film projects include the short film, "Rosie," and his full length dark comedy, Thomas Underground, both written and directed by Frenna.
