Biography

Jonathan attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and received his BFA in Acting. This conservatory arts training school consistently ranks among the top in the nation. Upon graduation he moved to NYC where he lived for about three years. There he began Incite Productions, along with other fellow UNCSA alumni, an Off-Off Broadway Theatre Company, which received critical acclaim for its powerful and touching work by the New York Times. Jonathan then moved to Wilmington, NC for two years to add to his resume in film, TV, commercials, and theatre while playing with his dog, Chloe, on the beach. The two of them then did a four year stint in Los Angeles where Jonathan continued to work consistently in commercials, TV, and film. After nearly five dozen commercials, industrials, voice-overs, films, etc., Jonathan began focusing more completely on his fundraising and development work for professional theater and universities, and has now dedicated his time to animal welfare. Jonathan has been vegan for over 10 years and resides in Asheville, NC with his son, Risden Woods.
