It's taken nearly two full seasons, but Will has finally built a genuine family connection with someone.

Bringing on John Ortiz to play Antonio Miranda has been a delight. He has a believable connection with Ramon Rodriquez, so Antonio wants to show him his heritage and family in Puerto Rico.

Spoilers for Will Trent Season 2 Episode 9 hint that after Will joins his uncle in Puerto Rico and returns home, he gets involved in a case involving his uncle's friend's death.

We've come to love how supportive Antonio has become of Will. That was evident especially as Will broke down as his memories came flooding back to him about his childhood trauma in Jack's home.

Will has never had a "real" family. He's had Angie since he met her through the foster care system, but that's tainted with its' own memories, and he's formed different bonds with his work colleagues.

Lucy Morales’ younger brother, a professor by trade, was as warm and charismatic as promised. At first it seemed like he and Will had nothing in common — that was, until it was revealed that Antonio is dyslexic, just like his nephew.

While I'm anxious for Will to have a positive male role model, it feels like Lucy's brother got a total rewrite.

Everything’s coming up roses for the 118, with ABC plotting a crossover between 9-1-1 and The Bachelor on Thursday, April 4 (8/7c).

The first promo for this unorthodox overlap aired on Monday during The Bachelor‘s full-night finale event, revealing that both Joey Graziadei and Jesse Palmer are set to make cameos. Prior to this promo, our only hint about 9-1-1‘s latest crossover was this “leaked” photo of a 118 firetruck parked outside what was clearly Bachelor Mansion.

On Monday (March 25), ABC announced that the 55-year-old actor – best known for his roles in Fast & Furious, Togetherness, and Messiah – will be joining the cast of the hit crime drama starring Ramon Rodriguez in an recurring role.

He will play Will’s (Ramon Rodriguez) maternal uncle Antonio Miranda. He is described as warm and charismatic, with connections to Atlanta and Puerto Rico. Antonio is eager to catch up on lost time with the nephew he never knew he had.
