Amorika Amoroso

Degree in Jazz Vocal Performance with minor in Theater from Temple University. Began her career in Philadelphia as a backup singer with the pop-band The Tenth House. Was also lead singer/songwriter for a 12-piece, original hip-hop/rap band that toured colleges/venues along the East Coast. Trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in NYC and wrote and performed for the Philly-based sketch comedy troupe, Hazmat. Has appeared in national commercials for Cheerios, Macy's and State Farm, as well as off-Broadway and off-off Broadway productions.
Winner of Mama's Next Big Act - a cabaret competition at the world renowned Don't Tell Mama's in NYC. Recently, won a MAC Award for "Best New York Debut" by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs for her one-woman/cabaret show "The Whore Next Door."
She is obsessed with Italy and dogs.
