Writer & director, DeVante Grace developed a love for storytelling at a young age. Spending his early childhood in Germany with little access to cable television, he spent most of his time watching professional wrestling and playing video games. Sanford and Son re-runs and Martin Lawrence's films fueled his love for film and television. After serving three years in the Army, he transitioned into writing. First, producing sports articles and posting them on various sites and discussion boards. Inspired by John Singleton's Boyz N The Hood, he transitioned into screenwriting, where he wrote his first feature-length script in 2017. In 2019, he moved to Los Angeles to attend the Los Angeles Film School. He has worked on multiple projects in numerous capacities. Producing, writing, and directing multiple short films. In 2021 his screenplay The Price of Freedom placed as a semifinalist in the Nicholl Fellowships. He graduated from The Los Angeles Film School in March of 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Film Production degree.
