John Weber has served as Executive Producer on over 350 hours of some of the most popular and acclaimed television drama such as Vikings, The Tudors, Reign and The Borgias.
John began his film and television career in 1995 working on a vast array of feature film and television productions prior to joining Dufferin Gate Productions in 1999. John went on to acquire a controlling interest in Dufferin Gate which he successfully sold in 2007. In 2009, John founded the Canadian production company Take 5 Productions.
John has been instrumental in negotiating the financing and structure of several successful international co-productions with major studio and distribution partners. He has established Take 5 as one of Canada's leading independent production companies. For his producing achievements, he has been awarded with and Emmy as well as six consecutive Canadian Screen Awards (formerly known as Gemini Awards).
John is a Certified Professional Accountant with a degree in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is actively involved in the Canadian film industry as a board member of FilmOntario.
