Contrary to previous reports that former B2K member, De'Mario "Raz B" Thornton, was reportedly on life support in a China hospital, comes news that the singer was actually a victim of a hoax.

Thornton’s manager, Elayne Rivers sent a statement to CNN on Monday distancing the 28-year-old from the coma reports claiming that they were not released by his “official representatives.” However, Rivers did admit that he sustained injuries stemming from a nightclub brawl near Shanghai.

The singer’s brother, Ricky Romance , also released a statement to the news site apologizing for the miscommunication on Thornton’s health status.

"I was unfortunately unable to contact my brother at the time and then panicked," Romance said. "I then alerted as many people of this information hoping to gather facts... Since the source that gave me this information was what I thought to be legitimately reliable I didn't question I just believed.

On Wednesday, Chris Brown became the latest celebrity to apologize to the Lgbt community for using a gay slur in anger. The singer issued a Twitter mea culpa for an incident on Tuesday in which he lashed out at several photographers in Los Angeles whom he believed had tipped off parking-enforcement officers to his illegally parked car, saying, "Y'all n---as is weak. Did you call them to try and film me? Y'all n---as is gay!"

The comments came just days after comedian Tracy Morgan met with Lgbt youth in New York following his anti-gay rant during a recent stand-up appearance, which earned the "30 Rock" star widespread scorn from the gay community for his seeming advocacy of violence against gay youth.

What started as a tweet from a once-prominent R&B singer has evolved into an online brawl which has spurred death threats to Chris Brown.

Here’s how it started: Raz B, formerly of the group B2K, tweeted on Dec. 29: “Im just sittin here Thinking how can n****s like [Eric Benét] & [Chris] disrespect women as Intelligent as [Halle Berry & Rihanna].

Chris, 21, responded with an equally misspelled tweet, writing, “N***a you want attention! Grow up n***a!!! D**k in da booty a** lil boy.” TMZ reports this comment refers to allegations the 25-year-old Raz made about being molested by B2K’s former male manager.
