Marek Stave is a filmmaker based between Oslo and Los Angeles. His films are poetic, focus on the feeling rather than to follow a traditional narrative form. His pictures magnify what's left unseen and usually examine social issues.
Marek practiced experimental film at UCLA under Navid Sinaki and attended master critique classes led by James Benning at CalArts in 2019. In 2020 Marek was accepted to Ecole de Leth; a one-off Dogme film program led by Jørgen Leth where he was taught filmmaking by Thomas Vinterberg and Lars von Trier.
