A former London journalist, who worked for the Times of London, the
Observer, and the Times Literary Supplement, Andrew Hislop is a
screenwriter based in Ireland, and a director of Blue Sky Motion
Pictures. Recent film work includes collaborating with Nicolas
McClintock on "Ten Minutes Older", a series of short films by fifteen
of the world's leading directors, the screenplay for "Inheritance"
directed by Edward Porembny and for "Tales of the Riverbank", directed
by John Henderson.
Current projects include "History Play", written with Nicolas Roeg, who will also direct the film, and a play, also written with Roeg, about Christopher Marlowe, three films for the Bollywood producer Bobby Pushkarna, and a film about the Indian painter Amrita Sher-Gil, to be produced and directed by Ramesh Sharma.
TV work includes "Sauce for the Goose", directed by Claire Peploe, which won the Prix Publique at the Prix Cognac, a documentary which broke the story of Dolly the sheep to the world, and three documentaries on the 20th century for NBC and Reuters.
