- Additional Crew
Syd Wong is a still photographer based out of Vancouver, BC. After graduating from British Columbia Institute of Technology's (BCIT) Radio Arts and Entertainment program, she continued her studies to expand her multimedia knowledge with attending BCIT's TV and Video Production program.
Unintentionally taking a video production course in high school, her interest in film and production was pushed into full force. She found any way to create content and edit videos. Growing up surrounded by social media, her creativity flourished with the overwhelming amount of content being produced and uploaded daily. Her love for music and photography collided when she began shooting concerts. That then translated to shooting behind the scenes on music videos, to short films and now being a main unit photographer for Film & TV.
Her work has been published in various platforms like The Vancouver Sun, The Georgia Straight, the Globe and Mail, Entertainment Weekly, Variety and more.
With the increasing demand for social content, the need for an on set social creator was called for. She took full advantage of that and has now been a social media producer on various TV & Film projects. Capturing social content on various Hallmark movies, she can't wait to see how this department progresses over the future.
Working full-time as an on set photographer, she's found herself working with networks like Hallmark Channel and Lifetime. Constantly looking for her next project to work on, she's beyond grateful to even be living her wildest dreams.
