Beginning her career as a movie actress, from 1962 she worked as assistant and second director on films as Andrei Tarkoksky's 'Andrey Rublev' for Mosfilm as Aleksandra Macheret. - Graduation in 1939 from the Leningrad State Theater School. In 1939 - 1941 - actress of the Gorky Regional Theater (in Balakhna). After Nazi Germany's attack on the Soviet Union in 1941, she filmed at the Ashgabat Film Studio, where the Kiev Film Studio now was based. From 1941 to 1948 she worked under contracts at the Odessa, Tashkent and Sverdlovsk film studios. Between 1962 - 1977, Aleksandra Macheret worked as assistant director and second director at the Mosfilm film studio.
