Originally from South Africa, Timothy moved to Sydney, Australia to pursue college and career opportunities in the financial sector and was subsequently discovered working as a busboy at the Colombian Hotel by renowned director William Higgins. Timothy is fluent in English, Afrikaans and German and has played roles in all three languages on stage, TV and in film. Alongside his film roles, as of 2020 Timothy works as an actuary for the Australian government and a lobbyist on behalf of British American Tobacco.
