Actor Siddhanth Kapoor has made his singing debut with the song "Kash phir se" from his upcoming film "#Yaaram". He says he was a bit nervous prior to the release of the song, but now he is happy with people's reactions to the track.

According to a source, he sung the song, composed by Jeet Gannguli and penned by Kumaar, in just one take and was given two days to practice.

"I thought what would be a better opportunity than my own film to show this side of me. I was a bit nervous before the song's release but have been receiving amazing responses from fans, friends and family which make me extremely happy," said Siddhanth.

After making the filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt sing for him on the title track of Mr. X, Jeet Gannguli’s latest release ‘Teri Khushboo’ from the same movie is being received very well and is also trending on twitter. The song that has released recently has more than 6500 tweets for it and counting.

We loved the title track but it was the two versions of Teri Khushboo, featuring vocals by Palak Muchhal and Arijit Singh that was a highlight of the album! Calling it a brilliant song, our review said, “I can’t wait to see this in the film and love it all the more. The best song on the album.”

When asked Jeet why he thought of him for the song, he said, “While composing the track we were looking for a different voice texture for this song. The hook of the song has English lyrics “You can call me X” and the attitude in which Bhatt Saab sang the song during the song sitting was just fantastic and I thought that Bhatt Sahab’s voice texture is appropriate for the song”. Even though composer Jeet Gannguli is open to composing party numbers for films, he does not use vulgar lyrics. He says, “I am against vulgar lyrics. No one should feel ashamed while listening to a song. We should also think about kids, who listen to these songs, as they catch onto lyrics quickly. Songs and lyrics should be subtle. They can be fun, but not vulgar.”

Jeet Gannguli, who recently composed a track for director Ashish R Mohan’s upcoming film Welcome 2 Karachi, says that he made sure that the song did not sound vulgar at all. “I don’t call it an item song, for me it is a dance track. Sonali Cable is writer-director Charudatt Acharya’s maiden voyage, being one of the 8 scripts selected for Mumbai Mantra-Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab 2012. Citylights is an upcoming drama starring National Award winning actor Rajkummar Rao and Patraleka in the leading roles. The film has been directed by Hansal Mehta, famed for directing the critically acclaimed Shahid (2013), which also starred Rajkummar Rao.

Citylights is based on a farmer who migrates with his wife and child to Mumbai in search for a better life. The music to the film has been composed by Jeet Gannguli, who is known for composing a number of songs for the megahit Aashiqui 2 (2013). Is the soundtrack to Citylights worth your time? First up we have Muskurane, sung by the impeccable Arijit Singh. I consider this one to be one of the top highlights in the album and it has been beautifully sung by Arijit. He really manages to get the notes right and hence, compliments very well with the mellow composition.
