Vic Brooks has produced debut feature films with Ephraim Asili (The Inheritance, 2020); Martine Syms (The African Desperate, 2022); Beatriz Santiago Muñoz (Oriana, 2022); and Clarissa Tossin (Mojo'q che b'ixan ri ixkanulab' / Antes de que los volcanos canten / Before the Volcanoes Sing, 2022), and is a nominee of the 2023 Film Independent Spirit's John Cassavetes Award as producer of The African Desperate. Brooks directs films with collective 13BC (Vic Brooks, Lucy Raven, and Evan Calder Williams) including the short Corpse Cleaner (2016) and feature Straight Flush (2019).
As a curator, she is Associate Director of Arts and Senior Curator of Time-Based Visual Art at EMPAC / Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
