Markus Ahonen

Markus Ahonen is a Finnish Ireland-based Author, TV Writer and Journalist.
He has written sketch comedy, game shows and late night comedy show for television. Among his credits are TV sketch movie Liekki (Flame), EVVK (Finnish modified version of shows Never Mind the Buzzcocks and They Think It's All over) and Heikoin Lenkki (The Weakest Link).
He is most well-known in Finland for his Isaksson series literary crime novels Meduusa (Medusa), Palava sydän (Burning Heart), Jäljet (Tracks), Sydämenmurskajaiset (Heart-Crushing Party) and Sieluttomat (The Soulless). He has also written a collection of melancholic love stories My Hometown Named Love and two story collections for children.
He was born in Helsinki, Finland but was raised in Martinlaakso, Vantaa. Ahonen has lived in Ireland since 2006 and has since also worked as Flying Foreign Correspondent in forty countries.
