Stefano Tambellini is an independent animation director, writer, animator, and illustrator.
In 2005 he co-founded the production label SenzaTesta with Alice Tambellini, focusing on puppet animation shorts that they both wrote, directed, and animated. His latest film, "Impossible Maladies" (2023), co-directed with his sister Alice, received the Méliès d'Argent for Best Short Film at the Festival Européen du Film Fantastique de Strasbourg among several other awards and over 70 selections in festivals worldwide.
Besides his work as a children's book illustrator, he also runs stop-motion workshops in schools and festivals, sharing his techniques and methods of puppet making and production design.
